Our lasers emit light at a specific wavelength that the pigment of the hair follicle will absorb without damaging the surrounding skin. The light is converted into heat energy (don't worry, our laser has a built-in contact cooling system), at a hertz rate capable of up to ten pulses per second. Our laser light targets to destroy the hair follicles in the active growth stage, allowing your treatment area to be “Hair-Free.”

HOW DOES IT WORK?
This is a hair reduction treatment to make daily life easier & simpler. Often referred to as the gold standard in hair removal, the Diode laser 810nm wavelength is highly reliable and can address a wide range of skin types, including skin types V and VI.
Laser energy is selectively absorbed by melanin (brown) in the hair follicle and converted to heat, injuring the hair follicle during its growth phase to help reduce. When the light enters the follicle, it is converted to heat energy that inactivates the follicle, preventing the hair from growing.

The 810 Diode on the Spectrum laser has built-in contact cooling to protect the surface of the skin, making the treatment a comfortable, pain-free experience for patients.
Hair grows in cycles, making it necessary to receive a series of treatments. This varies from patient to patient. Each treatment is spaced between 4-6 weeks apart, and a minimum of 6 treatments is recommended. At Bloom Medical Aesthetics, we treat unwanted facial hair & underarms most often.
Please Note, we do not treat the bikini area, anywhere around the genitals, or feet. Laser hair reduction works best on dark black/brown hair follicles on all skin types. Unfortunately, it will not work on blonde/red/grey hairs
